Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated:
When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood for Salat during the night, he would say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar), then say: Subhanaka Allahumma wa Bihamdika wa Tabarakasmuka, wa Ta'ala Jadduka wa Ia ilãha ghairuk - Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You. Then he would say: Allahu Akbaru Kabira - Allah is undoubtedly the greatest.
Then he would say:
Translation:
I seek refuge in Allah the All Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the cursed Shaitan, from his madness, his arrogance, and his poetry.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever stops at a place and says:
nothing will harm him until he moves on from that place."
Translation:
I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following:
Translation:
'O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.' "
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When one of you becomes frightened during sleep, then let him say:
For verily, they shall not harm him.
Translation:
I seek refuge in Allah’s Perfect Words from His anger, His punishment, and the evil of His creatures, from the whisperings of the Shayatin, and that they should come.
It was narrated from Ja'far bin Maimun, who said:
Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrated to me, that he said to his father: 'O my father, I hear you supplicating every morning (saying),
and you repeat it three times in the morning, and three times in the evening.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicating with (these words), and I like to follow his Sunnah."
Translation:
O Allah, grant me soundness in my body; o Allah, grant me soundness in my hearing; o Allah, grant me soundness in my sight, there is none worthy of worship but You.
Narrated `Aisha:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to read in his Ruqya (to the patient),
while treating with a Ruqya, with a slight shower of saliva.
Translation:
“In the Name of Allah” The earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient with the permission of our Lord." with a slight shower of saliva.
It was narrated from 'Aishah that if someone fell sick or suffered an ailment or injury, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would do this with his finger - Sufyân (a narrator) put his forefinger on the ground then raised it - and the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"In the Name of Allah, with the dust of our land and the spittle of one of us, our sick one will be healed, by the leave of our Lord."
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to treat some of his wives by passing his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say,
Translation:
O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment.
It was narrated from 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), that she said:
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fell sick, Jibrail would recite Ruqyah for him (ﷺ), saying:
Translation:
In the Name of Allah, may He cure you, from every disease may He heal you, from the evil of the envier when he envies and from the evil of every evil eye.
It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that Jibrail, came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:
"O Muhammad (ﷺ), are you sick?" He (ﷺ) said: "Yes." He said:
Translation:
In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you, in the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you.
It was narrated from ‘Umair that he heard Junadah bin Abu Umayyah say:
I heard ‘Ubadah bin Samit say: ‘Jibra’il (as) came to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was suffering from fever and said:
Translation:
In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you; from the envy of the envier and from every evil eye, may Allah heal you.
'Abdullah bin Maslamah narrated to us: Abu Mawdud narrated to us, from someone who heard Aban bin 'Uthman saying:
'I heard 'Uthman bin 'Affãn say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Whoever says,
three times, he will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until morning comes, and whoever says that when morning comes, he will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until evening comes.'
Aban bin 'Uthman was afflicted with paralysis, and the man who had heard this Hadith from him started looking at him. He said to him: 'Why are you looking at me? By Allah, I did not tell a lie about 'Uthman, and 'Uthman did not tell a lie about the Prophet (ﷺ). But the day which that (paralysis) befell me, I got angry and forgot to say that."
Translation:
In the Name of Allah with Whose Name nothing can harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever visits a sick person whose time of death has not come, and says in his presence, seven times
Allah will heal him of that sickness."
Translation:
I ask Allah the Magnificent, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you.
It was narrated from 'Uthmân bin Abul-'As AthThaqafi that he complained to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about some pain that he had felt in his body since he became Muslim. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him:
Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say:
Translation:
In the Name of Allah
I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of what I find and I fear.
'Uthman bin AbI Al-'As narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to me while I had a pain that almost ruined me. So, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Rub it with your right hand seven times and say:
“I seek refuge in Allah's Might, Power, and Authority, from the evil of what I suffer."
He said: "So I did it, and Allah removed what I had, and I never ceased telling my family and others to do it."
