PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever puts on a garment and says:

he will be forgiven his past sins.

TRANSLATION:
Praise be to Allah Who has given me this garment to wear, and has provided it for me, with no strength or power on my part.

It was narrated from Ibn Al-Mubarak, from Al-Jurairi, from Abü Nadrah, from Abu Sa'eed Al- Khudri who said: "When the
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) put on a new garment, he (ﷺ) would mention it by name, whether it was a Qamis or an 'Imamah, then he would say:

TRANSLATION:
O Allah, to You be praise, You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of that for which it was made.

It was narrated from Ibn `Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw `Umar wearing a white shirt and he said: “Is this garment of yours washed or a new one?” He said: “Rather it has been washed.” He said:

TRANSLATION:
May you wear new clothes, live a good life and die as martyr.

AbU Nadrah said: "If one of the Companions of the Prophet wore a new garment, it would be said to him:

TRANSLATION:
May you wear it out, and may Allah give you another in its place.
