وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا
QURAN 17:26
And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully.
فَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
QURAN 30:38
So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the countenance of Allah , and it is they who will be the successful.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
If anyone begs in Allah's name, give him something;
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Charity does not decrease wealth.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
You gain no victory or livelihood except through (the blessings and invocations of) the poor amongst you.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Seek for me weak persons, for you are provided means of sustenance and helped through your weaklings
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever would like Allah to shade him with His shade, let him give respite to one in difficulty, or waive repayment of the loan.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a
1) Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or
2) Like him who performs prayers all the night and
3) Fasts all the day.
Abdur-Rahman bin Bujaid narrated from his grandmother; :
Umm Bujaid - and she was one of those who gave the pledge to the Prophet (ﷺ) - she said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "There is a needy person who stands outside my door, but I cannot find anything to give to him." So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to her: "If you do not find anything to give him except a burnt trotter then hand it over to him."
