PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The most beloved to me amongst you is the one who has the best character and manners.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Indeed the most beloved among you to me, and the nearest to sit with me on the Day of Judgment is the best of you in character.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Nothing is heavier on the believer's Scale on the Day of Judgment than good character.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
By his good character a believer will attain the degree of
1) One who prays during the night and
2) Fasts during the day.
وَسَارِعُوا إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿١٣٣﴾ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٣٤﴾ وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللَّـهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا اللَّـهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٣٥﴾ أُولَـٰئِكَ جَزَاؤُهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ ﴿١٣٦
QURAN 3:133
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
QURANB 3:134
Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;
QURAN 3:135
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah ? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.
QURAN 3:136
Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
If one restrained his anger, Allah will keep His punishment away from him (on the Day of Resurrection).
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever suppresses his rage while he is able to unleash it, Allah will call him before the heads (leaders) of creation on the Day of Judgement, so that he can inform Him of which of the Hur he would like.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There is no gulp that brings greater reward with Allah than a gulp of anger that a man swallows (suppresses), seeking thereby the Face of Allah.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The Lord's pleasure is in the parent's pleasure, and the Lord's anger is in the parent's anger.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Paradise is beneath her (Mother's) feet.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The father is the middle door of Paradise.
مَّن يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً حَسَنَةً يَكُن لَّهُ نَصِيبٌ مِّنْهَا ۖ وَمَن يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً سَيِّئَةً يَكُن لَّهُ كِفْلٌ مِّنْهَا ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّقِيتًا
QURAN 4:85
Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah , over all things, a Keeper.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The one who tells another about something good is like the one who does it.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The companion who is the best to Allah is the one who is best to his companion. And the neighbor that is the best to Allah is the one that is best to his neighbor.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The merciful are shown mercy by Ar-Rahman. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens. The womb is named after Ar-Rahman, so whoever connects it, Allah connects him, and whoever severs it, Allah severs him.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
1) A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor.
2) Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs;
3) Whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and
4) Whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
1) Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him.
2) Whoever grants respite to (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will grant him relief in this world and in the Hereafter.
3) Whoever conceals (the fault of) a Muslim in this world, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and in the Hereafter.
4) Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
1) The dearest of people to Allah is the one who does most benefit to people,
2) And the dearest of deeds to Allah is
Joy that you bring to a Muslim, or
Relieving him of distress, or
Paying off debt for him, or
Dispelling his hunger.
3) And to walk with a brother to meet his needs is dearer to me than observing Ai‘tikaaf in this mosque – meaning the mosque of Madinah – for a month.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is:
1) Like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or
2) Like him who performs prayers all the night and
3) Fasts all the day.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
You gain no victory or livelihood except through (the blessings and invocations of) the poor amongst you.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Seek for me weak persons, for you are provided means of sustenance and helped through your weaklings.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is:
1) Like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or
2) Like him who performs prayers all the night and
3) Fasts all the day.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
'Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, will say on the Day of Resurrection:
"O son of Adam, I fell SICK and you did not visit Me."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (Allah) will say: "Did you not know that My slave so and-so was sick, but you did not visit him? Do you not know that if you had visited him you would have found Me with him?
O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you did not feed Me."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I feed You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (Allah) said: "Did you not know that My slave so-and-so asked you for FOOD, but you did not feed him? Do you not know that if you had fed him, you would have found that with Me?
O son of Adam, I asked you for WATER and you did not give Me to ink."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I give you to drink when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (Allah) will say: "My slave so-and-so asked you for water, and you did not give him to drink. If you had given him to drink you would have found that with Me."
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
The one who visits the sick is in a Makhrafah (an orchard) of Paradise until he returns.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever visits a sick person is plunging into mercy until he sits down, and when he sits down he is submerged in it.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever visits the sick, or visits his brother in Allah (faith), a caller calls out:
May you have goodness and livelihood be good, and may you dwell in an adobe in Paradise.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever visits a sick person, a caller calls from heaven:
May you be happy, may your walking be blessed, and may you occupy a dignified position in Paradise.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever comes to his Muslim brother and visits him (when he is sick),
1) He is walking among the harvest of Paradise until he sits down,
2) And when he sits down he is covered with mercy.
3) If it is morning, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until evening,
4) And if it is evening, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until morning.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
No Muslim visits (the sick) Muslims in the morning, except that sevety-thousand angels, sent Salat upon him until the evening, and he does not visit at night except that seventy thousand angels sent Salat upon him until the morning, and there will be a garden for him in Paradise.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There is no man who visits a sick person in the evening but seventy thousand angels go out with him, praying for forgiveness for him until morning. And whoever visits him (the sick person) in the morning, seventy thousand angels go out with him, praying for forgiveness for him until evening.
It was narrated that Abü Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Who among you fasted today?'
Abü Bakr said: 'I did.'
He (ﷺ) said: 'Who among you attended a funeral today?'
Abü Bakr said: 'I did.'
He (ﷺ) said: 'Who among you fed a poor person today?'
Abü Bakr said: 'I did.'
He (ﷺ) said: 'Who among you visited a sick person today?'
Abü Bakr said: 'I did.'
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said: 'These qualities are not combined in a man but he will enter Paradise."
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
'Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, will say on the Day of Resurrection:
"O son of Adam, I fell sick and you did not visit Me."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (ALLAH) will say: "Did you not know that My slave so and so was sick, but you did not visit him? Do you not know that if you had visited him you would have found Me with him?
O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you did not feed Me."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I feed You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (ALLAH) said: "Did you not know that My slave so and so asked you for food, but you did not feed him? Do you not know that if you had fed him, you would have found that with Me?
O son of Adam, I asked you for water and you did not give Me to drink."
He will say: "O Lord, how could I give you to drink when You are the Lord of the Worlds?"
He (ALLAH) will say: "My slave so and so asked you for water, and you did not give him to drink. If you had given him to drink you would have found that with Me."'
مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
QURAN 2:261
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There is no Muslim who lends something to another Muslim twice, but it will be like giving charity once.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When a woman gives in charity some of the foodstuff without spoiling it,
1) She will receive the reward for what she has spent,
2) And her husband will receive the reward because of his earning,
3) And the storekeeper will also have a reward similar to it.
The reward of one will not decrease the reward of the others .
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
An honest Muslim storekeeper who carries out the orders of his master and pays fully what he has been ordered to give with a good heart and pays to that person to whom he was ordered to pay, is regarded as one of the two charitable persons.
وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَاءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ امْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِي حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ الرِّعَاءُ ۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ ﴿٢٣﴾ فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰ إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ ﴿٢٤﴾ فَجَاءَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْشِي عَلَى اسْتِحْيَاءٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي يَدْعُوكَ لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا ۚ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُ وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ الْقَصَصَ قَالَ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ نَجَوْتَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿٢٥﴾ قَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا يَا أَبَتِ اسْتَأْجِرْهُ ۖ إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتَأْجَرْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الْأَمِينُ ﴿٢٦﴾ قَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ابْنَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ عَلَىٰ أَن تَأْجُرَنِي ثَمَانِيَ حِجَجٍ ۖ فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا فَمِنْ عِندِكَ ۖ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ۚ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّـهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ﴿٢٧﴾ قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ ۖ أَيَّمَا الْأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ فَلَا عُدْوَانَ عَلَيَّ ۖ وَاللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ ﴿٢٨
QURAN 28:23
And when he came to the well of Madyan, he found there a crowd of people watering [their flocks], and he found aside from them two women driving back [their flocks]. He said, "What is your circumstance?" They said, "We do not water until the shepherds dispatch [their flocks]; and our father is an old man."
QURAN 28:24
So he watered [their flocks] for them; then he went back to the shade and said, "My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."
QURAN 28:25
Then one of the two women came to him walking with shyness. She said, "Indeed, my father invites you that he may reward you for having watered for us." So when he came to him and related to him the story, he said, "Fear not. You have escaped from the wrongdoing people."
QURAN 28:26
One of the women said, "O my father, hire him. Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy."
QURAN 28:27
He said, "Indeed, I wish to wed you one of these, my two daughters, on [the condition] that you serve me for eight years; but if you complete ten, it will be [as a favor] from you. And I do not wish to put you in difficulty. You will find me, if Allah wills, from among the righteous."
QURAN 28:28
[Moses] said, "That is [established] between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I complete - there is no injustice to me, and Allah , over what we say, is Witness."
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
1) Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity,
2) Commanding good and forbidding evil is charity,
3) Your giving directions to a man lost in the land is charity for you.
4) Your seeing for a man with bad sight is a charity for you,
5) Your removal of a rock, a thorn or a bone from the road is charity for you.
6) Your pouring what remains from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is charity for you.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
May Allah's mercy be on him who is lenient in his buying, selling, and in demanding back his money.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There is no Muslim who lends something to another Muslim twice, but it will be like giving charity once.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever gives respite to one in difficulty, he will have (the reward of) an act of charity for each day. Whoever gives him respite after payment becomes due, will have (the reward of) an act of charity equal to (the amount of the loan) for each day.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever is easy with (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will be easy with him in this world and in the Hereafter.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever would like Allah to shade him with His shade, let him give respite to one in difficulty, or waive repayment of the loan.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There was a merchant who used to lend the people, and whenever his debtor was in straitened circumstances, he would say to his employees, 'Forgive him so that Allah may forgive us.' So, Allah forgave him.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
"Before your time the angels received the soul of a man and asked him, 'Did you do any good deeds (in your life)?' He replied, 'I used to order my employees to grant time to the rich person to pay his debts at his convenience.' So Allah said to the angels; "Excuse him."
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
"Once a man died and was asked, 'What did you use to say (or do) (in your life time)?' He replied, 'I was a businessman and used to give time to the rich to repay his debt and (used to) deduct part of the debt of the poor.' So he was forgiven (his sins.)"
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
From among the people preceding your generation, there was a man whom the angel of death visited to capture his soul. (So his soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.' He replied, 'I don't remember any good deed.' He was asked to think it over. He said, 'I do not remember, except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So Allah made him enter Paradise.
