ذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ ﴿١٧﴾ مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ ﴿١٨﴾ وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ ﴿١٩﴾ وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ ﴿٢٠﴾ وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ ﴿٢١﴾ لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ ﴿٢٢﴾ وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَـٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ ﴿٢٣
QURAN 50:17
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
QURAN 50:18
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].
QURAN 50:19
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.
QURAN 50:20
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
QURAN 50:21
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.
QURAN 50:22
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
QURAN 50:23
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of)
1) What is between his two jaw-bones (tongue) and
2) What is between his two legs (private parts),
I guarantee Paradise for him.
Narrated: Uqbah bin 'Amir
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! What is the means to salvation?'
He (ﷺ) said:
1)'That you control your tongue,
2) Suffice yourself your house,
3) And cry over your sins.'"
Sufyan bin 'Abdullah Ath-Thaqafi said:
I said: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Inform me about a matter that I may hold fast to."
He (ﷺ) said: 'Say: My Lord is Allah, then be steadfast.'
I said: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! What do you fear most for me?"
So he (ﷺ) took hold of his tongue and said: 'This.'"
Narrated: Abu Ayyub
“A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), teach me but make it concise.’
He (ﷺ) said:
1) When you stand to pray, pray like a man bidding farewell.
2) Do not say anything for which you will have to apologize.
3) And give up hope for what other people have.’”
