QURAN 2:185
The month of Ramdhaan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.
So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days.
Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When Ramdhaan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When the month of Ramdhaan starts,
1) The gates of the heaven are opened and
2) The gates of Hell are closed and
3) The devils are chained.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
When Ramdhaan comes,
!) The gates of mercy are opened and
2) The gates of Hell are shut, and
3) The devils are put in chains.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
There has come to you Ramdhaan, a blessed month, which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has enjoined you to fast.
In it the gates of heavens are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and every devil (Mara Datush Shayateen – Big Devils) is chained up.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
O people, Lailat Al-Qadr was shown to me, and I came out to tell you about it, but two men came disputing, and the Shaitaan was with them, and I was caused to forget it. So seek it in the last ten nights of Ramdhaan.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
On the first night of the month of Ramdhaan,
1) The Shayatin are shackled,
2) The jinns are restrained,
3) The gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened.
4) The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed,
5) And a caller calls:
'O seeker of the good; come near!'
And 'O seeker of evil; stop!
For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire (Maghfirat).'
And that is every night.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:
Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramdhaan
1) Out of sincere faith, and
2) Hoping to attain Allah's rewards,
then all his past sins will be forgiven.
PROPHET MUHAMMAD (ﷺ) said:

all his past sins will be forgiven.
